Parental Absence / Leave
Parental absence/leave is available to an employee to care for his/her child/children.
Eligible employees may access forms of paid parental leave including pre-natal, maternity, paternity/partner and adoption leave. Generally, unpaid parental absence/leave is approved where the employee is to be the primary caregiver. For a fixed term employee any form of parental absence/leave cannot continue beyond the date employment would otherwise have ceased.
